Today we celebrate the return of the sun. The days which are now so dark begin again to get longer and brighter. A little bit each day. I would like to have a fire in the backyard to celebrate the warmth and light of the sun, but with the bitter cold and wind it's nearly impossible. So tonight, as we did last year, we'll light a bunch of candles, drink wine, eat sausage and white bean soup (for no particular reason, just sounds good), and read Christmas stories. The dog is settling in to the house nicely. He's just a dear old baby already! The kitty is getting used to having him around and still gets snuggle time too. The kids are excited for Christmas, getting and giving their presents. We all wish you a Merry Christmas!
