We woke up this morning and it was 25 below zero (F.). Fortunately, the superintendents used their senses and cancelled school for the -45 windchill, so George is home with us today. We're all staying inside as much as possible. Only George has been out to feed and water the chickens, and walk the dog 1/2 a block. Even the dog comes in shivering!
This is a good day to finally show you the bathroom tile project-completed!
And to let you see a little of what we've been doing homeschooling/life learning-wise:
Some collage art with Rose.
Knitting hats for babies and playing games with our homeschool co-op friends.
And refereeing the still-ongoing old cat and new puppy battles. (We've discovered, as if we didn't know it, that our cat is quite the b*tch!)
Ooh, and George and I just joined on facebook.com, so now we're reconnecting with lots of *old* friends. Are you on facebook? It's yet another online addiction...
Rootbeer making with Elijah.

And yeah, facebook is addictive!
I *does* look cold there!
I have been avoiding Facebook like the plague :) Another thing to suck me in, lol!
Were you knitting for children in Guatemala, etc?
We are dealing with the cold as well although my husband did have to go to work today.
It looks like you are beating cabin fever and having a good time.
It's nice to hear someone likes the green. It was the color the house came with, and luckily we could still buy tiles to (sort of) match the old ones. We had the tub installed like, um, almost 3 years ago and they had to take out the surrounding tiles so this was just a repair of that area. I like the green better now that I have a nice hemp shower curtain on the outside (it used to be the inside curtain, but it gets to stinky when wet...).
Good luck with the tiling, Jess. George did a great job, using your FIL's tile saw.
Yeah, facebook...ack!
My daughter is on facebook but I've been avoiding it. Maybe someday... but I really don't need another distraction.
Facebook is addictive but then I get sick of it and quit for a long time. Then I get sucked in again. But in the end I like blogging much more!
